The extensive works by NHHG, Durkan and MAA included new roofs, thermal & sound insulation, double glazing and energy efficient boilers, which help to reduce heat loss and carbon emissions whilst also cutting fuel bills and helping combat fuel poverty. Apart from these environmental benefits, there were social benefits and economic advantages accruing, with local agents reporting a 15% increase in property values of adjacent dwellings as a result of the work.
