Construction industry analysts Barbour ABI have been awarded a contract to provide the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) with data regarding starter home projects.
Barbour ABI, who are also a chosen partner of the Cabinet Office and the Office for National Statistics, will collect, analyse and monitor starter home planning applications for the DCLG, providing a clear picture of Starter Home projects, from the beginning of the planning application stage to work starting on site.
Simon Mahoney, Group Director at Barbour ABI commented on the announcement:
“We are delighted to be working alongside the DCLG to help develop their insight into starter home project data. Our in-house research team have excellent working relationships with planning authorities and other relevant information providers. This gives us the ability to provide a high level of accuracy in our research and are confident that we can have a long and prosperous relationship with the DCLG.”
The Government is committed to delivering 200,000 Starter Homes by 2021. The data provided by Barbour ABI to DCLG will be used to monitor the construction of Starter Homes.
