Renovation plans have been replaced with relaxation after Helen Perry and Pieter Roos fell in love with a brand new home in Market Harborough.
The couple had been living separately, Helen in a village near Coventry; while Pieter, who is originally from South Africa had rented in various places over the years including in Warwick, Leamington and Northants, before deciding to purchase a property together. While they searched for a new home Pieter moved into a rented property in Market Harborough.
“We wanted to get a feel for the area and find the right home for us. We looked around and saw properties we could renovate but decided that the work involved, the cost and our ages, meant that a brand new home was a more practical option because of the time we’d need to spend working on it.”
“Pieter saw Rockingham View in its very early stages and told the sales consultant he’d be back and about a month later I went with him. Having a look around the Redrow show home really helped change my mind about buying an older property. The Heritage Collection was the perfect solution as externally the homes look traditional, but inside everything is very modern.”
Helen, who works as a PA, and Pieter, a senior manufacturing engineer, purchased a four-bedroom detached double-fronted Pembroke ‘off plan’ at Rockingham View.
“We loved the development even without seeing the house. We watched it being built from the ground up and were able to customise the interior to our personal tastes. The specification is incredible.”
“In my old house I would have had the heating on before the end of October, but our new home is so well insulated we’ve hardly needed the heating on. The maintenance is amazing because there isn’t any.
“From the first time we went into the sales office, to moving in and beyond we can’t fault the customer service. We’d definitely recommend Redrow without a doubt. When we’ve seen people looking round we’ve said ‘don’t think about it, just buy’.”
Located in Glebe Road, Market Harborough, little more than half a mile from the town’s Sainsbury and Waitrose supermarkets, Rockingham View is ideally placed. The local train station offers 35 trains a day to London every weekday with journey times from 61 minutes.
Current availability includes a two-bedroom Arden style bungalow priced from £195,950, with four-bedroom detached family homes on the market from £544,950.
