NFB Business & Skills is delighted to announce that it has partnered with e-learning experts, Totrain, to bring you our new and exciting digital health and safety e-learning academy.
The partnership matches the NFB’s extensive knowledge of construction with Totrain’s development expertise, providing flexible, high quality training when you need it with minimum disruption to your business.
The academy will be launched to the industry in September offering asbestos awareness, manual handling and working at height courses with more packages being made available over the coming months. All packages have construction relevant content and each delegate receives an NFB certificate upon completion.
For organisations looking to use the academy to train multiple employees, the NFB is able to offer a programme that allows the company to monitor the progress of their staff’s training in order to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is maintained.
Karen Dawes, NFB Training Manager, said:
“As the skills and development arm of the National Federation of Builders, we understand the challenges SME contractors face to ensure their site teams remain skilled and competent to work on projects. By making use of our e-learning academy as part of their overall employee training plan, construction firms can train quickly and in a cost effective manner, ensuring that they meet the expectations of their customer at a cost that helps them remain competitive.”
Helen Hood, Training Director of Totrain said:
“As the sector becomes more digitally and technologically advanced, training through e-learning portals is a natural progression. Savings in cost and time off site lead to more profitable businesses and the employee is able to able to learn at their own pace, making this a perfect choice all round.“
