Twelve new, high quality, affordable one and two bed flats in Woodvine Road, Sundorne, built on the former Tesco site, have been handed over to Severnside Housing. The homes have been purchased from Taylor Wimpey to meet priority housing need in Shrewsbury.
Woodvine Road is just one of a number of sites where Severnside is purchasing properties directly from the developer in order to provide more affordable and shared ownership properties for their residents. Work is well under way, at larger development sites across Shrewsbury, to build 60 new homes which Severnside will be purchasing, the next one in Bicton Heath.
Sepp Sargeant, Head of Development at Severnside said:
“Along with our extensive new build programme, Severnside also partners with a number of quality house builders to buy affordable homes, on larger development sites, to help us meet priority housing need in Shropshire. Residents have already moved into Woodvine Road and are delighted with their beautiful new modern homes.”
