The LRWA (Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association) announces the launch of its RIBA approved CPD, exclusively available online for specifiers, architects, and surveyors.
“Continuing Professional Development is crucial for anyone working in the construction industry,”
comments Terry Wain, LRWA Technical Secretary.
“And particularly in the roofing sector with the on-going introduction of new materials, which is why the LRWA has developed this presentation – with the aim of educating specifiers involved in making roofing decisions about the range of options available within the liquid waterproofing industry.”
The LRWA CPD – called ‘Introduction to the Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association: A Resource for Specifiers’ – can be accessed online through the RIBA website, allowing time conscious professionals the opportunity to gain CPD points without having to set aside a specific time during the working day to go out and attend a seminar.
Specifiers who complete the CPD will also be able to understand the technical and financial benefits of specifying liquid applied roofing and waterproofing systems, as well as learning about the product and installation standards that have been set within the industry to ensure optimum performance is achieved.
The CPD itself should take around 25 minutes to complete and also includes information on the history of liquids and the various ways in which the LRWA aims to promote best practice within the industry. There are also many benefits to specifiers when utilising the LRWA, and a range of resources available to aid in specifying liquid waterproofing solutions.
