Panasonic unveils Green Install Cashback Scheme for installers

Panasonic has unveiled details of a new incentive for air source heat pump projects; The Green Install Cashback Scheme. Under this new scheme, which takes effect from 1 October 2020, qualifying installers can claim cashback of £800* – after the successful installation of five Panasonic Aquarea A2W heat pumps with a Smart Cloud Controller. In a concurrent promotion, homeowners replacing oil-fired, LPG, electric or mains gas boilers will be able to claim up to £600 via the Green Homes Cashback Scheme* (conditions apply).

The new scheme, available throughout the UK, will run at the same time as the UK government’s Green Homes Grant (1 October 2020 to 31 March 2021) and is an additional incentive aimed at installers, but not in any way connected to the government scheme. Claims for the Panasonic cashback scheme can be submitted regardless as to whether participants have claimed any other government incentives. They are two different schemes running at the same time.

Tony Nielsen, UK Marketing Manager for Panasonic commented,

“We are delighted to announce this new scheme. Both installers and homeowners will be able to benefit and receive cashback by participating in this scheme. Not only will they enjoy the benefits of an Aquarea Air Source heat pump, but as long as they satisfy the scheme criteria, they will also be able to access cashback. These Green Homes cashback schemes are straightforward for installers and homeowners to claim, saving both time and money, while also providing an extensive range of benefits through the PRO Club platform.”

Panasonic is a leading manufacturer of air source heat pumps, with over 60 years of experience, selling to more than 120 countries around the world. The Aquarea range of heat pumps offer an energy efficient and sustainable heating solution for all types of homes – whatever the heating requirement. Aquarea is designed to help homeowners enjoy ideal temperatures and hot water in their home, even when outdoor temperatures are extreme. The system is far cleaner, cheaper and more environmentally friendly than alternatives such as using gas, oil or other electrical systems.

Installers can further benefit from connecting their customers to the free Panasonic Service Cloud to enable remote maintenance and monitoring of the Aquarea units which provides: an error log history, a global view at a glance, full unit information, statistics on usage plus lots more useful information.

In addition to cashback, participating installers have access to a range of additional benefits. Becoming a Panasonic PRO Partner is free and offers a host of tools. PRO Partners are listed on the Panasonic i-finder, giving installers more visibility and allowing potential customers to find and contact them with ease. Participating installers will be able to offer their customers extended warranty terms and conditions on the heat pumps they install, gain access to the latest marketing material, installation support software and notified of any upcoming training courses.

Installers will further benefit from free accredited training on the Panasonic Aquarea Heat Pump range, become a Panasonic PRO Club member and be able to offer remote maintenance and monitoring to customers, via the Panasonic Service Cloud, to save on time and travel expenses.

PLUS, installers will able to offer their customers up to £600 cashback on their Aquarea installation (conditions apply) whether they are also claiming on the UK Government Green Homes scheme or RHI scheme or not, from any location within the UK.

Installers should note that to be eligible for the Green Install Cashback scheme, the installer must have completed the Panasonic Accredited Aquarea Training historically, or within the scheme dates – there are plenty of additional training dates available during the qualifying period. The five Aquarea units must have been purchased through an authorised Panasonic Distributor and installed between 1 October 2020 and 31 March 2021. Each Aquarea unit installed must also include a CZ-TAW1 controller and be connected to the cloud. Only one claim can be submitted per installation company.
