Smith’s Fan Convectors has launched the Caspian Concealed fan convector to join its range of Caspian commercial fan convectors. The Caspian Concealed will meet the needs of contractors and installers who require all the benefits of a fan convector but need to hide them discreetly within the fabric of the building they are heating. The new model is incredibly versatile with different accessories to enable it to be fitted literally anywhere, to face any direction and be positioned in the optimum place the M&E contractor or installer needs to fit it.
Jim Bennett, sales and marketing director stated:
“The Caspian Concealed has been developed to bring a much-requested addition to the Caspian commercial range of fan convectors. It came about following customer enquiries for large projects that need more innovative heating solutions for their existing listed buildings. We are making in-roads in the commercial market with the Caspian range and the Concealed will bring added flexibility for specifiers and installers who need to have creative heating options that will work with existing or new wet central heating systems. The new Caspian Concealed is one of a number of new products that Smith’s will be bringing to market over the next six months.”
In line with all Smith’s fan convector, the Caspian Concealed (UCV) is compatible with all types of wet central heating systems and functions equally efficiently, whether connected to a conventional boiler or renewable technology, such as biomass boilers or ground or air source heat pumps. Incorporating the latest EC motor technology which can result in running cost savings as high as 80 per cent and with variable speed control as standard the Caspian Concealed delivers heat quickly, efficiently and effectively.
The Caspian Concealed has four different main accessories which can work together in any combination to create the recessed or concealed heating solution requirements depending on the project specification. They comprise spigot inlet/outlets; two different spigot inlet/outlets, one which has two ducts to suit the UVC90 and the other with three ducts to suit the UVC120; or cranked duct angled at 90° for left or right-handed use; a 1m straight air inlet/outlet extension duct, which can be used alone or with additional lengths; and an air inlet/outlet grilles comes in a powdered white as standard but can be changed to suit the needs of the space where they are located.
Like the Caspian Universal, this is a versatile heating solution for a variety of applications – suitable for high, low or ceiling concealed installations; the UVC can even be turned upside down. It is compatible with any wet central heating system and fan convectors are still the optimum heat emitter for any commercial or domestic air source heat pump projects.
