St. Modwen Homes transforms preschool unit in Dursley with help from local contractors

A primary school in Cam has had their preschool unit on their site completely revamped over the February half term, thanks to St. Modwen Homes. The housebuilder reached out to its staff and contractors who all worked together to help make the preschool unit, situated at Cam Everlands Primary School an inclusive environment, ideal for educating young minds.

Organised by St. Modwen Homes, the volunteers who took part in the project donated materials and labour to the preschool to make sure that the refurbishment was completed for when the pupils returned after the half term break. During the refurb, a new kitchen was supplied and fitted, the building was given a complete clean and the walls were freshly painted.

Commenting on the transformation of the preschool, Susan Avis, Headteacher at Cam Everlands Primary School, said: “We’re so grateful to St. Modwen Homes for organising the refurbishment of the preschool hut and to all of the volunteers that helped make this happen. We want our community to offer a welcoming and inclusive environment where pupils can look forward to learning and socialising with their classmates. We couldn’t be more delighted and thankful to St. Modwen Homes and the local contractors for all their hard work.”

Dave Smith, Managing Director at St. Modwen Homes, said: “I couldn’t be any prouder of the wonderful team we have at St. Modwen Homes for organising the refurb of the preschool unit at Cam Everlands Primary School. With a mixture of hard work and community spirit, we were able to transform the school preschool hut to create a better environment for the pupils in which they can learn.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to our on-site team in Dursley, contractors Prodec Southwest, Moores, WPS LTD, Clarkson Evans, John Willmott Carpenters and a special thanks to our Customer Service Manager, Tanya Carver-Cox for making it all happen!”
