UKWA to issue best practice guide on implementing technology in logistics

The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has announced the launch of a Technology Advisory Board that will develop and deliver advice and best practice guidance on how the logistics industry can implement technology to improve processes and operational efficiency.

At its inaugural meeting in February, the board will consider the importance of cloud technology to the logistics industry with particular emphasis on the ways in which the sector can harness the cloud to manage rapidly emerging B2B e-commerce demands.

UKWA CEO Peter Ward said:

“UKWA’s Technology Advisory Board will provide the logistics industry with ‘best practice’ guidance for adopting and deploying a wide range of technologies and solutions that bring real bottom-line benefits.”

The first UKWA Technology Advisory Board meeting will be hosted by software giant Microsoft at the company’s London based UK Head Office on Wednesday 8th February, 2017.
