Flint houses and pocket park completed at Bellway’s Harbour Village development in Northfleet

Work is nearing completion within the second phase of development at Bellway’s Harbour Village in Northfleet, bringing the total number of homes built to date as part of this landmark regeneration scheme to 212.

Located in the central part of the Harbour Village site, on land east of College Road, phase two comprises 130 homes and has been designed to honour the heritage of the former Northfleet Cement Works which was previously on the site.

Houses along College Road have flint frontages to reflect the character of the former flint wall on the site, while the new Kiln Pocket Park incorporates a historic kiln which was uncovered at the start of construction.

Ed Brading, Head of Sales for Bellway Thames Gateway, said:

“We are extremely proud of the new homes we’ve built within phase two of Harbour Village, which really add to the character of this new neighbourhood for Northfleet.

“Kiln Pocket Park is a particularly key feature. With landscaping, seating and an interpretation board to remind people of the site’s rich and fascinating industrial heritage, this will be an attractive focal point for residents.”

Bellway plans to build a total of 630 new homes at Harbour Village, including 189 affordable homes available for local people through low-cost rent, shared ownership or discount to market value.

The first phase of the development, which is now complete, delivered 124 new homes and the Village Green, with a children’s play area and basketball court.
Meanwhile, Bevan’s Park, which includes a heritage park and trail, sports pitch and wildlife area, is due to open in 2027.

There’s currently a choice of one, two and three-bedroom apartments available to reserve at Harbour Village, with prices starting from £281,250, while two, three and four-bedroom houses are priced from £350,000.
