Independent housebuilder Dandara has appointed Andrew Wickett as Managing Director for its Eastern division, as the developer announces its expansion across Essex with two new sites acquired in the county in the last month.
Previously the Operations Director at Dandara’s Northen Home Counties division, Andrew holds over three decades of experience across accountancy, finance and property. Andrew is a qualified Chartered Accountant at the University of Adelaide and trained with KPMG in Australia. His first role was as a private accountant in the USA for real estate and development holdings clients. Andrew then moved to the UK in 2005 and worked in senior finance roles at St James Homes, Laing O’Rourke and Barratt Homes. Most recently, Andrew held the position of Managing Director at McCarthy Stone in London and the Southeast.
Andrew’s role as Managing Director will see him provide strategic oversight of the region, aiming to support the company’s growth trajectory across Essex. This region will also bolster its developments with new land acquired in Takeley and Great Dunmow. The new sites will join its current portfolio of developments, which includes Birch Park in Braintree, The Orchard in Little Dunmow and Oaklands in Copford.
