Golding appoint new Sustainability Manager

Local housing provider, Golding Homes, has appointed Lucy Breeze as Sustainability Manager. Lucy is the first person to hold this position, one which reflects the growing importance of a sustainability agenda to the Kent based provider.

Tom Casey, Director of Development and Sales said: “With #cop26 underway this week, I’m delighted to welcome Lucy to Golding as our Sustainability Manager. This is a new role at Golding and underlines our commitment to having internal expertise to improve our environmental performance and drive our new sustainability strategy.”

Lucy is Practitioner for the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA). She worked for the Environment Agency as an Environment Programme Manager and joins Golding from Kent County Council where she was the Environment Strategy Manager. She will lead on the delivery of the Making Golding Greener strategy, working with colleagues and customers to improve Golding’s environmental and sustainability performance and help shape future ambitions.

Lucy said: “I’m so pleased to be joining Golding Homes as the new Sustainability Manager. Tackling climate change is one of the biggest challenges of this decade and I’m looking forward to working across the business to reduce our environmental impact, whilst ensuring our customer’s homes are warm and energy efficient, and our neighbourhoods clean, green and sustainable.”
