Lloyds Living, the private rental and shared ownership division of Lloyds Banking Group, has signed contracts on a portfolio of 980 new homes to be delivered by Barratt Redrow plc across fourteen developments throughout England.
Quality homes in places people want to live
The portfolio comprises a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom single-family homes, located across Nottinghamshire, Merseyside, East Anglia, the West Midlands, and Cambridgeshire / Northamptonshire.
The homes are in locations chosen specifically because of the strong demand for high-quality rental accommodation, benefitting from excellent transport links, well-regarded schools, and access to employment opportunities.
All homes within the portfolio will be managed by Lloyds Living’s in-house property management team and have strong sustainability credentials. Every home achieves an EPC rating of B or above, with many featuring air source heat pumps for heating and hot water.
A strategic partnership delivering growth
The acquisition further strengthens the strategic partnership between Barratt Redrow and Lloyds Living and represents the third large-scale portfolio transaction between the two organisations. To date, Lloyds Living has acquired more than 3,000 homes from Barratt Redrow.
The majority of the portfolio is in regions where Lloyds Living already has an established presence, while the acquisition of 255 homes in East Anglia supports the company’s planned expansion into the region from 2027.
The portfolio creates a pipeline of homes for delivery between now and the end of 2029, with the first homes expected to become available to rent from Autumn 2026 at Hampton Beach, Peterborough and Burleyfields, Stafford.
The acquisition brings Lloyds Living’s total portfolio to over 8,850 homes.
Matt Burgess, CEO of Lloyds Living, said:
“Barratt Redrow is our largest strategic partnership – completing and agreeing contracts for over 3,000 homes. Working together we are helping bring more homes to the market sooner – enabling more people to find the homes they want in places they want to live and work.
“We continue to grow our portfolio of rental and shared ownership homes with quality properties offering the features people expect, professionally managed by us to deliver the service they expect.”
Mike Roberts, COO of Barratt Redrow, said:
“We are delighted to further strengthen our strategic partnership with Lloyds Living, working together to accelerate the delivery of high-quality, energy-efficient homes across the country.
“As well as increasing the supply of much-needed new homes, our long-term partnership helps create greater choice for customers seeking professionally managed rental and shared ownership homes in well-connected, sustainable communities.”
