Miller Homes South Midlands announces key new appointments

Following the recent launch of its new South Midlands region, national homebuilder, Miller Homes, has bolstered its team with the announcement of new leadership and five senior promotions to drive forward the region’s growth.

Overseeing the new region will be Ben Massey, who leads the team after being promoted to Managing Director for East and South Midlands. Ben has worked for Miller Homes for over 20 years, and since joining the team in 2001 as a graduate land buyer, has quickly progressed through the ranks. In 2017 Ben was given responsibility to manage the East Midlands region, initially as Regional Operations Director, before being promoted to Regional Managing Director in 2020.

Day to day responsibility for driving forward the new region has been awarded to Gavin Jones who has been promoted from Regional Production Director for East Midlands, to Regional Operations Director for South Midlands.

Meanwhile, Jake Richardson takes on the role of the new Technical Manager for South Midlands, following a promotion from Engineering Manager in the East Midlands.

A further internal promotion sees Tom Roberts expanding his remit to cover the new region after being promoted to Area Land Director for East and South Midlands, a role he brings over 18 years’ experience to, 10 years of which have been with Miller Homes.

Lewis Brown, who previously held the position of Strategic Land Director at Wallace Land Investments has been promoted to Regional Land Director following the acquisition of the land promotion company by Miller Homes in 2021. Lewis brings a wealth of experience to the role, and will be reporting into Tom while working closely with agents, promoters and landowners as well as seeking new land opportunities across the South Midlands region. As a local resident himself, Lewis has long been an advocate for the vibrant towns and cities in the area and will be instrumental in establishing the region with a pipeline of developments to achieve the region’s ambitious sales targets for the first five years.

Joining Miller Homes with over 35 years’ experience in the industry is Mike Little, who has been appointed Commercial Director for South Midlands. He previously held this position at Crest Nicholson and has also carried out senior roles at Larkfleet Homes, Morris Homes and David Wilson Homes. Mike will be responsible for leading commercial activities and overseeing relationships with key clients.

Miller Homes’ new region will see the homebuilder expanding its reach across the midlands region as the team explores land opportunities across a range of locations, including Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Miller Homes’ new South Midlands region is the homebuilder’s first new region launch since 2019 and brings the number of Miller Homes regions to ten. Other regional locations include Yorkshire, the North East, Teeside, North West, Southern, East Midlands, West Midlands, Scotland East and Scotland West.
