Profix™ PLUS Underfloor Heating Panels

The Profix™ PLUS Panel is a pipe retention panel designed for warm-water underfloor heating systems. Different in design to our standard Profix™ Panel for 10mm – 12mm diameter pipe, the Profix™ PLUS Panel is specially designed to incorporate 14mm to 17mm diameter pipe, making it particularly suitable for larger floor areas. Manufactured in the UK using 100% recycled plastic, the panel measures just 20mm – making it a great low profile warm-water underfloor heating solution.

Specifications

  • Panel size: 1200mm x 600mm
  • Panel height: 20mm
  • Panel weight: < 1.2kg
  • Pipe diameter: 14mm – 17mm
  • Material: 100% Recycled Plastic

As with all Profix™ products, the Profix™ PLUS Panel provides reliability and ease of installation. The high compressive strength panels protect the underfloor heating pipe from foot traffic during installation and are self-adhesive backed to allow fast installation in both retrofit and new build constructions.

Each Profix™ PLUS Panel measures 1200mm x 600mm x 20mm and features multiple pipe retention clips to secure the 14mm-17mm pipe accurately in place, as well as special locking features to enable the panels to be fastened together.

Profix™ PLUS Pipe in Flowing Screed System

The Profix™ PLUS Pipe in Flowing Screed System combines the Profix™ PLUS panel with either a cement-based levelling compound / flowing screed, or an anhydrite (gypsum-based) flowing screed. The unique design of the panels enables the flowing screed / levelling compound to bond directly to the supporting sub-floor, resulting in a total system build-up as low as 20mm*

This system achieves high heat outputs combined with fast response times, even at low water temperatures making it an ideal solution with heat pumps.

Additional Features:

  • For retrofit projects the panels can be combined with a thin high compressive strength insulation to reduce downward heat loss into existing structural sub-floors and avoid having to dig up the floor.
  • Self-adhesive backed panels avoid the need for additional mechanical fixings, enabling the panels to be used as part of an acoustic insulation solution to meet the requirements of Approved Documents E (England and Wales 2003) or Section 5 – Sound (Scottish Building Standards 2010)
  • Self-adhesive backing avoids the risks associated with mechanical fixings compromising services concealed within the sub-floor.
  • A ‘future-proof’ solution compatible with Government signals to moving to low temperature heating systems to achieve Zero Carbon by 2050
