Sika Fastfix sets the standard with sustainable packaging

Sika Fastfix All Weather jointing compound is now available with a new, more sustainable packaging design, which is manufactured in part using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic.

It’s one of the very first Sika products with the new PCR packaging – easily recognisable thanks to its distinctive dark grey top – to hit the shelves and is part of a mass roll-out by the manufacturer which it anticipates will save around 400 tonnes of virgin plastic this year alone. The change to the packaging does not impact on the quality and performance users expect from Sika Fastfix, both in terms of storage and application.

Sika FastFix All Weather self-setting jointing compound provides the ideal solution for perfect pointing and as it comes ready to use with no mixing required, it’s quick and easy to use. Once set it acts as a natural barrier to weed growth on paving, footpaths and patios, including cobbles and Indian sandstone paving slabs and with its unique Active Resin Technology formula offering advanced durability, it won’t shrink or crack over time.  What’s more, once opened, it can be easily stored in water and reused on future projects to reduce waste – which together with its new PCR packaging, makes it a more sustainable option.

And as its name suggests, Sika Fastfix All Weather can be easily applied in all weather conditions, even the rain. So you don’t necessarily need to wait for perfect weather when tackling a landscaping project this spring.

Sika Fastfix All Weather comes in a choice of five colours – Charcoal, Flint, Stone, Dark Buff and Deep Grey.
