Vent-Axia Showcases the Latest Ventilation Solutions for the New Build Residential Sector at elementalLONDON

Vent-Axia is delighted to be exhibiting its latest ventilation solutions for housebuilders and social housing providers at the inaugural elementalLONDON exhibition, taking place at ExCeL London on 19-20 November 2025. Visitors to stand D46 will be able to see the company’s latest ventilation solutions, including the award-winning Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq range, and meet Vent-Axia experts to learn about the ideal ventilation and overheating solutions for their projects.

elementalLONDON is a dedicated event for built environment professionals responsible for reducing energy use and carbon emissions in commercial and large-scale residential projects. Vent-Axia will be showcasing its Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq range of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR), which is designed to provide effective ventilation to meet the demands of Net-Zero housing, as well as tackling one of the fastest-growing challenges for the sector, overheating.

We are delighted to be part of the first elementalLONDON exhibition and to connect with developers and specifiers looking for ventilation and overheating solutions designed for their future home standard,” said Steve Pearce, NBR Product Manager at Vent-Axia. “Visitors to stand D46 will see our award-winning Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq range, a market-leading solution for large-scale residential and social housing projects. Our experts will be on hand to offer advice on the best ventilation for individual projects, and demonstrate how Vent-Axia’s solutions can help meet Net-Zero targets, improving indoor air sustainably.”

The Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq range of MVHR is designed to deliver good indoor air quality, energy-efficient performance, and year-round thermal comfort, aiding compliance with Part O of the Building Regulations. The range includes four core models: the Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq; Passivhaus-certified units; the Sentinel Econiq Cool-Flow; and the Sentinel Econiq-Cool (KERS).

The Lo-Carbon Sentinel Econiq units are designed to combat overheating risk, essential in new build homes, which are increasingly overheating as they become more thermally efficient to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. ‘Approved Document O: Overheating’ of the Building Regulations has two overarching requirements: limiting unwanted solar gains and ensuring excess heat can be removed from the home. Ventilation is an important part of the solution for overheating.

When additional cooling is needed, the Sentinel Econiq Cool-Flow integrates DX cooling for automatic active cooling, featuring intelligent controls that automatically switch between heat recovery, summer bypass, and active cooling. Meanwhile, the Sentinel Econiq-Cool (KERS) model combines an MVHR unit with a KERS Coolboost air source heat pump. When conditions exceed defined comfort thresholds and passive cooling is no longer viable, the MVHR unit automatically signals the heat pump to activate cooling. This smart integration enables mechanical cooling and renewable hot water, offering a 2-in-1 solution with minimal energy use.

With housebuilders focused on reducing carbon emissions and meeting the latest Building Regulations, there is also a significant trend towards developers specifying decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) with centralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) and MVHR utilised on more complex projects.

Vent-Axia’s Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C helps housebuilders meet current Building Regulations with fewer installed fans, the quietest sound levels, and the most efficient fans on the market, drastically reducing Dwelling Emission Rates (DERs). A highly efficient dMEV unit the Lo-Carbon NBR dMEV C, is developed specifically for housebuilders’ requirements and has exceedingly low Specific Fan Power (SFP) values as impressively low as 0.08 w/l/s and provides near-silent operation, independently tested as low as 7.4 dB(A).

Improving indoor air quality since 1936, Vent-Axia’s ventilation products have been designed to provide trusted solutions for your future home standard. Providing the ideal ventilation for each project, Vent-Axia’s range suits both large-scale housing projects in the private new build residential and social housing sectors. Known for its innovation, quality and reliability, Vent-Axia strives to provide the best, fully compliant products to suit all types of property. The company works with national housebuilders across the UK and Ireland and has the capacity to deliver MVHR to large-scale projects to meet tight deadlines, with units in stock and ready to dispatch.
