Bellway has started construction work on two new phases of development at Fallow Wood View in Burgess Hill which will deliver a further 57 new sustainable homes.
The housebuilder is currently building 222 properties on land to the east of Isaac’s Lane in the first phase of the development, which is part of the wider 3,000-home Brookleigh project.
The site team has now started work on the second phase of 27 homes on a separate parcel to the south-east of the main site, adjoining Bedelands Nature Reserve. These include a choice of two and three-bedroom houses for sale, plus ten affordable apartments.
Work is also underway at Mansion Gardens at Fallow Wood View, where 30 homes are being built on land immediately to the north-west of the main development. Previously the site of Woodfield House, which has been demolished to make way for the new homes, Mansion Gardens will include 21 three and four-bedroom private houses and nine affordable apartments and houses.
Fiona Mitchell, Sales Manager for Bellway Southern Counties, said:
“Fallow Wood View is already setting the standard for sustainable low-carbon modern housing which provides comfortable and efficient homes for residents.
“Given the popularity of the homes we’ve already built here, we are now looking ahead to two new phases of the project to continue to deliver much-needed housing for the local area, including additional affordable and wheelchair adaptable homes.
“As the development progresses, we will also see the delivery of new public open space, including the extension of Bedelands Nature Reserve, which aligns with Bellway’s commitment to support nature and biodiversity.
“This is a lovely part of Sussex and we have carefully designed the new homes to complement existing local architecture and retain the woodland feel of their setting.
“With work starting on these latest phases of the project, we hope to release the first of these new homes for sale in September.”
A final selection of three and four-bedroom houses are still to be sold within the first phase of Fallow Wood View, with one four-bedroom detached Reedmaker house currently available from £525,000.
