Staffordshire-headquartered Cameron Homes has appointed Sarah Sargeant as sales director. Sarah will be responsible for leading a 12-strong team across the HBF five-star housebuilder’s current seven live developments in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. A further five new developments will be launched this year.
Established in 1994, the firm is on track to construct over 200 quality homes during 2026, to achieve a turnover in excess of £100m. Part of the Tara Group, Cameron Homes is targeting a £140m turnover by 2030. To aid this expansion, there is a £36m pot to fund new land acquisitions across central, East and South Midlands.
Sarah joins Cameron Homes from Solihull-headquartered Hayfield, where she also held the position of sales director. Prior to her appointment at Hayfield, she held senior roles and accrued significant experience across the residential, luxury and new homes sectors.
Sarah’s key responsibilities at Cameron Homes will be to lead the sales team to achieve the business growth targets, execute robust sales strategies, lead the pricing strategy of land appraisals and ensure a premium customer journey.
Guy Bebbington, managing director of Cameron Homes, said:
“Sarah will strengthen our senior leadership team, enabling us to work together to drive the performance of the sales department and hit our KPIs. Collectively, we will continue to grow Cameron Homes by staying true to our values: more homes, same heart.”
Sarah Sargeant, sales director for Cameron Homes, said:
“Cameron Homes’ impressive land bank, consistently high build quality, and recognised brand is combined with the team culture, ethical and charitable priorities of the Tara Group to do good business. I am so pleased to be on board, especially at a time when house hunters are keen to buy energy-efficient new homes.”
The average selling price for Cameron Homes’ two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses and bungalows averaged out to £448,000 over the past 12 months.
The philanthropic legacy of the founder and former chairman of the Tara Group lives on through the Noel Sweeney Foundation, which was established the year he died in 2020. The Foundation donates over £500,000 per year to local charitable causes, which includes a 5% profit contribution by Cameron Homes.
The firm has three live developments in Nottinghamshire. At Mapperley Meadows in Mapperley, three-bedroom detached houses start from £450,000. At Sylvan in Ruddington, three-bedroom semi-detached homes are priced from £435,000. While at Bramley Fields in Southwell, prices start from £300,000 for a two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow.
There are two live developments within Staffordshire. At Lawnswood in Branston, prices start from £330,000 for a three-bedroom detached Chapman house. While at Octara Court in Yoxall, prices start from £750,000 for a three-bedroom 1,862 sq ft executive detached home with garage.
At Willow Rise, in Bomere Heath, Shropshire, prices start from £260,000 for the Annesley two-bedroom semi-detached house. At The Laurels, in Brailsford, Derbyshire, prices for two-bedroom detached homes start from £270,000.
Cameron Homes has achieved a coveted 5* customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders Federation every year since 2018. Last September, Jon Dean, the site manager for the firm’s £105m Lawnswood development in Branston, Staffordshire was recognised as one of the top site managers in the country by the National House Building Council (NHBC). He was one of 14 across the NHBC’s ‘West’ region to win a Seal of Excellence award, having won a Pride in the Job award earlier this year.
