Housebuilder Honey has submitted plans and exchanged contracts on an 11.9-acre site to deliver a £41.3m, 131-home development in Hucknall.
Called Jasmine and located off Dorothy and Delia Avenue, the proposed development will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes and feature 14 of Honey’s house types.
Sheffield-headquartered Honey says its homes have all been specifically designed to combine “style, substance and sustainability” for the benefit of buyers.
If approved by Gedling Borough Council, work at Jasmine is expected to start in the autumn and the first residents are anticipated to move into their new homes by spring 2027.
Since its launch in October 2022, Honey has secured 32 immediate sites throughout the Midlands and Yorkshire that will deliver 4,842 homes with a combined gross development value of £1.4bn.
The housebuilder is backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV which has £937m of fully committed capital.
Honey chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell, commented:
“Our extensive market research has highlighted the significant demand for high specification, high quality homes in and around the Hucknall area.
“Exchanging contracts on this site and submitting plans for our Jasmine development is a fantastic step forward as we look to further grow our footprint across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.
“We now look forward to Gedling Borough Council considering our proposed plans to deliver homes that combine style, substance and sustainability for buyers in the Hucknall area.”
Honey is currently selling homes from 11 developments, ranging from Heather in Low Moor, near Bradford, to Homes by Honey at Thoresby Vale in Edwinstowe, near Nottingham.
The housebuilder has analysed consumer insights and trends to inform its house type designs to ensure they meet the needs and wants of today’s new home buyers, including the flexible use of all living spaces.
Standard features in every Honey home include bi-fold doors; individually designed fully integrated kitchens; and boutique-style bathrooms with a signature free-standing bath and full-height tiling.
